Udar Pristono Named as Suspect in Budget Mark-Up Case

The Attorney General’s Office finally named Udar Pristono, former Jakarta Transportation Department Head, as a suspect in the case of TransJakarta bus procurement and public transport rejuvenation budget mark-up. Besides Pristono, another person named as suspect is Prawoto, Director of Technology Center and Transportation System in Technology Research and Application Division (BPPT).

Considering there are enough proofs of corruption act done collectively, the investigator team named two new suspects ,” stated Head of Attorney General’s Office Public Information Center, Setia Untung Arimuladi, Monday (5/12).Stipulation of Udar Pristono as a suspect refers to the investigation warrant No. Print-32/F.2/Fd.1/05/2014 dated May 9, 2014, and Prawoto No. Print-33/F.2/Fd.1/05/2015 dated May 9, 2014.
West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Dept Head ArrestedAccording to Arimuladi, The TransJakarta bus case that becomes the basis of suspect stipulation is the development on the investigation of alleged corruption over TransJakarta bus procurement worth Rp 1 trillion as well as regular public transport rejuvenation worth Rp 500 billion by Jakarta Transportation Department using the 2013 budget.
“From those numbers, there is indication of mark-up over other two suspects, namely Drajat Adhyaksa and Setyo Tuhu who were already named as suspects before,” he told.
For information, both Drajat Adhyaksa and Setyo Tuhu are civil servants in Jakarta Transportation Department. Drajat Adhyaksa is a Commitment-Making Official (PPK) for Regular Public Transport Rejuvenation Bus Procurement and TransJakarta Bus Fleet Procurement Activity, while Setyo Tuhu is the Head of Goods and Services Procurement Committee for Construction Works I Division.
